The group thread
Everyone sees everyone. Someone replies "who is this?" and ninety-nine phones light up at once. By the third reply half of them have muted you, and the ones who leave were being polite about it.
The bcc blast
It reads like a newsletter because it is one. "Hi there" lands in Promotions, and the people who know you best are the quickest to spot that it was not really written to them.

Pick your people
Sync your Mac Address Book — groups, custom fields and their photos come with it. Or drop in a CSV. Click any face to leave that person out of this one send; they stay in the group.

Write it once
Type the message with ::firstname:: anywhere you would have typed a name. A live preview shows you the exact words each individual person will read, before anything sends.

Watch it land
Messages go out one at a time, with a natural pause between each, so carriers stay calm. Every face lights up as their message actually reaches them.
The difference
You are not messaging a list. You are messaging Maya, and Dele, and your aunt.
Most tools hand you a number and let you get on with it. Human RM shows you the room first — every face, pulled from your own Address Book, before anything sends. Three hundred and forty is easy to be careless with. Three hundred and forty faces looking back at you is not, and that is the whole idea.
Leaving someone out is one click
You already spoke to her this morning. Click her face — she drains to grey, sits this one out, and is still right there when you want her back. Nobody has to be deleted just to be skipped once.

A note from the person who built this
We are not built to do life alone.
There are eight thousand people in my phone. Most of them I met on purpose — birthdays, funerals, first jobs, second chances. Somewhere in that list is every person who has shaped a decade of my life, and for years the honest truth was that I could not keep up with them. Not because I stopped caring. Because caring at that scale is an afternoon, and I never had the afternoon.
So I would send the group text. And I would watch it do what group texts do — turn ninety-nine relationships into one thread nobody wanted to be in.
Let me make this plain. The tools for reaching many people were built for broadcasting to strangers, and then we pointed them at the people we love. A newsletter is not a check-in. A group thread is not a conversation. Something is lost in the translation, and the people closest to you are the quickest to feel it.

Not a service sending on your behalf from a number nobody recognises. Human RM uses the accounts already signed in on your Mac.
iMessage
Blue bubbles from your real number, landing in the thread you already have with them. Replies come straight back to you.
SMS
Green bubbles for anyone on Android, routed through your iPhone the same way Messages already does it.
Sent through your own Gmail with your real send-as address and signature. On Pro, you also see who opened it.
Privacy
Your contacts never leave your Mac.
This is not a promise we are asking you to take on faith. There is no server holding your address book, because there is no account to hold one against. Your people, their numbers, their photographs and every word you have ever sent them sit in a file in your own user folder. Turn on email tracking and the only thing that reaches us is that a message was opened. Never who you know.

›How is this different from a group text?
A group text puts everyone in one thread, so all of them see each other, and every reply goes to all of them. Human RM opens a separate one-to-one conversation with each person and sends them their own message. They see a note from you and nothing else. Replies come back to you privately, in the thread you already have with that person.
›Does it actually send through iMessage?
Yes. Human RM drives the Messages app that is already signed in on your Mac, so texts come from your real number and land in the conversation you already have with that person — blue bubbles for iMessage, green for SMS. There is no third-party number and no short code.
›Will my contacts know it was a mass message?
Not from the message itself. Each person gets their own thread with their own name merged in. What gives a blast away is writing like a blast, so the app shows you a live preview of exactly what each individual person will receive before anything sends.
›Where do my contacts live?
On your Mac. Human RM reads your Address Book locally and keeps everything in a file in your own user folder. Your contacts are never uploaded to us. The only thing that ever leaves your machine is an email you chose to send, and — if you turn on tracking — the fact that it was opened.
›Can I send email as well as texts?
Yes. Human RM sends email through your own Gmail account, using your real send-as addresses and their signatures, so it arrives as a normal message from you. On Pro you also get open and click tracking, so you can see who read it and what they clicked.
›What happens if someone is in the list twice?
They get one message. Human RM merges duplicate numbers and addresses before sending, and tells you how many it merged, so the person who is in your Address Book twice does not hear from you twice.
›How does the free trial work?
You get 14 days of the whole product — every channel, no recipient limit, nothing held back — so you can run a real send to real people rather than judge it from a feature list. Your card is saved at signup but nothing is charged until the trial ends, and if you cancel before then you pay nothing at all.
›Does it work on Windows or iPhone?
Human RM runs on the Mac today, because that is where it can drive the Messages and Gmail accounts you are already signed in to — which is what lets it send from your real number instead of a rented one. Texts you send from it reach anyone, on any phone, anywhere. Sending from a phone, and sending through WhatsApp, are the two things we are asked for most, and the Mac is where the product starts rather than where it stops.
